B. Benton & Co. is owned and operated by President Bret Benton, a native of eastern North Carolina and a graduate of East Carolina University’s Construction Management program. After graduation, Bret gained extensive experience in the heavy civil industry by working with some of the most reputable construction firms in the Southeast. His focus was on developing a deep understanding of utility construction, grading, land clearing, and key infrastructure systems including storm drain installations, water mains, sewer systems, and culvert replacements.

In April 2018, Bret turned his vision into reality with the founding of B. Benton & Co., a commercial construction business built on integrity, craftsmanship, and reliability. Today, the company specializes in utility contractor services, grading contractor work, and infrastructure for commercial builds—offering expertise in sewer lift stations, wastewater lift stations, and sewer pump stations. Bret holds an Unlimited North Carolina General Contractor’s license in utilities, highway, and general building, ensuring each project is led with professionalism and proven knowledge.
