Grading Superintendent

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in heavy civil construction, preferably federal and municipal work
  • Proven ability to manage a crew with changing job-site conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Works well with others in a team environment
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Proactive with high attention to detail to produce quality work
  • At least 2 year’s experience with machine control equipment, preferably Trimble
  • Able to understand and read drawings electronically with provided tablet
  • Familiar with HCSS Heavy Job and Plans a plus, but not required

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate and schedule work to include layout, materials, trucking and equipment
  • Detailed daily reporting and timecard entry electronically with provided tablet
  • Operate various types of job site equipment that includes, excavator, bulldozer and skid steer
  • Follow and administer company, EM-385 and OSHA safety procedures
  • Willing and able to work in various working conditions
  • Daily site and equipment cleanup management is a top priority

Pay depends on experience.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday possible weekends as needed
  • 10 hour shift

Heavy Equipment Operator

Requirements:
  • Proven track record with references.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience operating excavator to complete grading, water, sewer and storm drain activities.
  • Ability to read and decipher grades.
  • Experience in machine control for bulldozer and excavator a plus
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a requirement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Works well with others in a team environment
  • Open minded with a willingness to learn and adapt to changes of jobsite conditions
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Operating excavator safely and effectively to dig trenches and cut to grade
  • Daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Assist in staging materials when needed
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures
  • Willing and able to work in various working conditions
  • Daily site and equipment cleanup

Business Office Manager

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing office operations, job coordination, financial tracking and communication between the field, clients and ownership. The right person will bring structure, accountability, and efficiency to the business – freeing up the owner to focus on growth and field execution.

 Responsibilities:

  • Handle general administrative duties to keep the office running smoothly
  • Track all active job costs, manage invoicing, billing and collections
  • Work closely with bookkeeping/accounting to ensure accuracy
  • Build, improve and enforce standard operating procedures
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively improve workflows
  • Maintain organized records for all jobs and operations
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism and responsiveness
  • Assist with onboarding employees and subcontractors
  • Manage insurance certificates, licenses and compliance paperwork

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the construction trades industry
  • Experience with job costing, invoicing, financial tracking
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with implementing new technologies and systems
  • Works well with others in a team environment
  • Proactive with high attention to detail to produce quality work
  • Federal contracting experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation:

  • Salary: $80,000-$95,000 (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonuses
